Cross-cutting Issues

The Environmental and Social Safeguards has been prepared as a guide to screen of the proposed MERP activities for negative environmental and social impacts, which would require attention prior to programme implementation. In order to achieve the objectives of the programme and to successfully implement the environmental mitigation measures, it is important to ensure that target groups and stakeholders are provided with the appropriate awareness, skills and training.
